Phó Lee Vietnamese

Traditional Vietnamese rice noodles cooked in fresh, beef bone broth is what you will find at Phó Lee Soup in North Mt. Juliet. It was the first of its kind in all of Mt. Juliet. Mike, and his wife, Wendy, opened this authentic restaurant in the summer of 2019. Having been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, it is clear that Mike loves his work. While food is a passion, his focus is geared more toward pleasing his customers.

WHAT TO KNOW

Two important things to know about Phó Lee Soup is that all the food is made fresh with many health benefits and its authentic Vietnamese flavor is pleasing to every palette. Never serving yesterday’s leftovers, Mike spends 10-11 hours every day preparing the soup fresh for customers. He uses real beef bone broth in each bowl, with fresh Vietnamese noodles. Each bowl is served with bean sprout, lime, basil, onion, and green onion on the side. These fresh vegetables are then added into your soup right before you eat, creating a surge of tasteful delight. BACKGROUND

Coming to America at the age of 21, Mike took a big risk. He spoke no English and only knew one person. Mike started out in New York City before he moved to Atlanta and then to Tennessee, all the while working in the restaurant business. A local church, offering English classes, is where Mike learned to speak English, along with diligent practice and studying. He has worked every aspect in the restaurant from cooking, serving, cleaning dishes, bar tending, bussing tables, to owning. Mike went back to New York where he met his wife, Wendy. Eventually making it to Tennessee, and opening his own restaurant, they now have 4 children ages 13, 11, 9 and 2.

Bringing a taste of his original home to his current home creates a unique presence. The interior of the restaurant is red, which is a lucky color to his native culture. Being able to offer this to the community he loves makes him thrive all the more. Mike’s family owns a business and lives in Mt. Juliet. They love the community and the friendliness of every customer and neighbor.

PERFECT FOR EVERY OCCASION

Phó Lee soup caters to their customers. If you are looking for a spot to meet for a business lunch, a dinner date, or a night out with friends, you can’t go wrong with Phó Lee. Although beef bone broth is Phó Lee’s main attraction, they do offer vegetarian entrees made with vegetable broth. You only have to eat at Phó Lee Soup once and you’ll be sure to be back a second time.
